About Me
About Me
Hi! I'm Jamie. I grew up in Wellington, New Zealand and now am based in Auckland as a rugby writer. I put this site together to get all my work in one handy place.
I've been covering rugby and league for the last six seasons for a few websites, plus I've been an active player of both for the last 30. So I know what it's like to be at the bottom of a ruck, have to throw into a lineout five metres off your own goal line and get worked over by a guy twice my size after an ill-advised dart from dummy half.
Some of my career highlights:
Covering the All Blacks as a touring journalist since 2017
Publishing four books, including the best selling Brothers In Black
Attending the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan and covering the All Blacks’ campaign
Getting to take the Ranfurly Shield home (pictured left)
So if you need an insight into rugby in this part of the world, whether it's a column, opinion, post match footage or audio, I'm your man.
